Hi. Bonjour. Hola. Guten Tag.Namaste. Kumusta.

Welcome to our blog! We wish to chronicle our experiences in travel and share our adventures with you. Also by documenting our journeys in travel, style, and food, maybe it can be a resource for anyone who might want to explore the same experience. Hope you enjoy!

Le Grand Bornand

Le Grand Bornand

The hills are alive with the sound of children laughing in Le Grand Bornand. Au Bonheure des Momes festival, one of Europe's largest of its kind, was in full swing during our stay at Le Roc de Tours. What a great way to get the kids off their devices and discover all sorts of fun, active games all set in the great valley nestled within the French Alps. Our kids especially liked playing Labyrinth, Egg in the Tree, and a mission impossible inspired game where they had to collect undersea themed objects within a web of bungee cords and bells - without sounding the bells (See pics below). They also loved getting a respite from the sun and games in the reading tent. For our family of 5 it was 25 Euro to enjoy most of the festival games and shows (others you could register and pay for such as Circus school, Theatre productions, and workshops.) Beyond the festival, there are the the majestic mountains. Take a couple of gondola rides up to the summit for a truly magnificent view of the valley below and neighbouring mountains all around.
