Hi. Bonjour. Hola. Guten Tag.Namaste. Kumusta.

Welcome to our blog! We wish to chronicle our experiences in travel and share our adventures with you. Also by documenting our journeys in travel, style, and food, maybe it can be a resource for anyone who might want to explore the same experience. Hope you enjoy!

Getting down to Business

Getting down to Business

After a year of planning and weeks of frenzied last-minute details, our “World” wind adventure finally began!  We walked up to the Lufthansa counter at Pearson Airport, excited about our flight in Business Class. “I'm sorry but there are no tickets issued for you,” the agent told us. Are you *%$*!! kidding us?! Was this someone’s idea of a sick joke? Frustratingly it was true. There was a system error at Aeroplan. No tickets were issued for us. Surprisingly, we didn’t really panic. I prayed to whomever is the patron saint of catching our flight and willed the universe to correct this wrong and let us regain our flight plans or better. After an hour on the phone, long story short, the Aeroplan representative came through for us (or that patron saint!) and we were off to Warsaw, Poland to catch a connection to our connection to get to our first stop - Barcelona. It ended up being quite a comfy ride in the pod style seats. How blessed and spoiled am I to even have the luxury of noticing the "hardships" of travelling with the kids in business class: having to get up and down out of my own pod and walk over to theirs to assist with their meals, entertainment system, and tucking them in for their lay down sleep! Una vida tan bendita! And best of all, the airline staff at both Air Canada and Lufthansa were superbly welcoming to our gay family. One of the attendants even said she got goose bumps (in good way!) seeing us together as a family. Truly a blessed life.
